The series begins in 1776 at the start of the American Revolutionary War and features, among other famous patriots, George Washington, general at war, Benedict Arnold, double agent, and Benjamin Franklin, a man who has fundamentally altered society with his fantastic steam-powered inventions.
Steam Patriots chronicles the adventures of Felix, a young man with an unusual gift of a photographic memory. Follow Felix through this alternate universe as he serves General Washington and apprentices to Benjamin Franklin in an American Revolution that is both familiar and alien. With huge steam-powered carriages, and other devices the Founding Fathers never imagined, Felix travels across the Colonies in an action-packed fight to win America's freedom.
Steam Patriots is published as a comic book series by Silverline Comics.
Steam Patriots was created by Scott Wakefield and Rory Boyle, fellow servicemen in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Both are globe-trotting adventure seekers who can't decide what they want to be when they grow up.
Dan Hosek is a man among men who has helped mold this story into something shining and wonderful. He's also the Steam Patriots colorist and letterer.
Radio host & war hero David Bellavia was kind enough to interview Scott. They discussed comic book, accomplishing goals, and having a passion! (He also said some kind things about Steam Patriots.)
